I'm inviting you to consider membership in the new Society for Executive Wisdom. After close to a year of assiduous analysis, thorough study and deliberation with clients, peers and colleagues, I've decided that a new organisation is needed to enhance and improve the business and skills of management, owners and solo practitioners in professional services and Executive Managers & CEOs of all industry types.

The purpose is to establish a community of colleagues, contemporaries and peers without rank, elites, or internal awards, whose members learn from each other on a ongoing and enduring basis, augmented and supported by a lean national organisation. Our mission is clear: To grow and improve the businesses of our members and to provide development opportunities to allow and enable them to do this. The Society will have unique benefits for members that are described herein. Since everyone is a colleague, there are no certifications to maintain or re-qualify for.

The Society is a for-profit organisation. This needs to be clear. We cannot be successful with a part-time board or overarching focus on satisfying every last interest and precinct. Instead, we have to move quickly and agilely to promote good executive leadership, and the inherent and important worth of Executives, Managers and Owners. We do offer a program for affiliate members to encourage those who want to enter the Society but cannot yet meet full entrance requirements. We want to embrace everyone interested in moving professional management and leadership upward and onward.

A for-profit enables me to transition my focus from traditional consulting work to leading this endeavour without undue hardship or sacrifice. But more importantly, it allows for the daily proactive management and oversight of the organisation to provide for continual improvement of our offerings to members. I believe that organisations prosper best when a leader is proactively pursuing its goals and a profit motive concurrently.
